Cerro Blanco: two days: Medium difficulty. The Refugio Newmeyer hut set in a majestic tall lenga forest is reached in a vehicle and is used for spending the night. During the first day, following the numerous trails around the hut, a beautiful high altitude lake can be visited and numerous panoramic vistas admired. Starting from the hut, there are two preparated trails with guiding signals, one of them leads to a high altitude Andean environment. During the second day, the summit of Cerro Blanco (2200 a.s.l.) is reached, with an impressive panoramic view and exhibiting variably coloured substrate. High altitude steppe with vey varied rock plant communities, are examined.
