Cerro Catedral - one day: A one-day excursion, low difficulty. Acces to the summit by mountain lift, walking rocky and high marshy ground. From the summit (2200 a.s.l.), a spectacular panoramic view of Cordillera and valleys can be admired. Total distance: about 2 km. Cerro Catedral - two days: Medium difficulty. Access to the summit by mountain lift. A walk over rocky and high marshy ground, in a very beautiful scenery. A mountain hut by a high altitude lake is reached on foot and provides sleeping quarters for that night. Local and typical communities on marshes and water courses are examined. Descent is on foot through lenga (Nothofagus pumilio), underbush and forests. Total distance: about 16 km.
